Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Yojana - Haryana Government's scheme to do Kanyadan happily.

The Haryana government has launched many schemes among the people. Through that, the government has taken the contract of giving financial assistance to the girls of the state. The Haryana government has started a scheme for poor girls and for the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, through which their daughters can be married easily without any hassle with Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Yojana.


The Government has started a scheme for poor girls and for the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, through which their daughters can be married easily without any hassle. Under this scheme, the daughters of Scheduled Castes and widows living below the poverty line will be given an amount of 71 thousand in the name of Kanyadan. In this, an amount of 66 rupees will be given as shagun at the time of marriage. Also, an amount of 66 thousand will be made available to them as shagun at the time of marriage. The remaining amount will be given to them at the time of marriage registration.


Who all are included in this scheme and what is its validity

1- The age of the girl should be 18 years or more.

2- Must be a resident of Haryana.

3- It is necessary for the beneficiary to be associated with one of the following categories-

  • Daughter of a widow, divorced or destitute woman

  • Orphan girl

  • Member of SC, DT or Tapriwas communities

  • Daughter of a sportsperson (of any caste)

  • Fom any section of the society (general or backward class)

  • Disabled person (Divyangjan)

  • The annual family income of the person getting the benefit of this scheme should not be more than 1,80,000.

  • Aadhar Card

  • BPL Ration Card

  • Income Certificate

  • Haryana Resident Certificate

  • Divorce Certificate

  • Marriage Card

  • Bank Account

  • Passbook (Details)

  • Passport size photograph and bride's birth certificate,

  • Caste Certificate.
